Yes, I have 3 in elementary school and 1 high school senior. I see these issues from the lens of both a parent and an advocate.

My own struggles with the district's lack of response and support for my daughter after the sudden and tragic loss of her father is what started my advocacy with the district. We went on to experience many instances of maladministration, silence, and retaliation. After private meetings where my concerns about district short comings were acknowledged but with no public resolution, I began to document my journey of navigating Shaker Heights School District. I am running to bring transparency, financial accountability, and focus on outcomes and equity to the forefront for all students.

I believe asking hard questions isn't controversial, its leadership. I a not here to fit in or just accept what has been; I am here to fix what's broken. I am always open to working as a team to further our community. But, this movement for transparency and accountability will continue whether I win a seat or not.

Shaker has spent years building DEI offices, committees and trainings, bringing in consultants while proficiency gaps for black students remain 30 or more points behind. Real equity is measurable. It shows up in test scores, graduation rates, and college and career readiness, not just slogans.

I support auditing all DEI spending and initiatives to see what is working, cut what is not, and redirect resources toward what actually improves student and family outcomes.
